Tendonitis
Tendonitis
Tendonitis is inflammation of a tendon, usually from repetitive use. It is common at the shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee and Achilles, and it is one of the most frequent work-related injuries we see.
Load, Not Just Rest
Rest alone tends to leave a tendon weak and prone to recurrence. Controlled loading rebuilds the tendon's tolerance, which is what makes the improvement last.
How We Can Help
- Evaluation to identify the tendon and the aggravating activity
- Therapeutic ultrasound and cold laser therapy
- Progressive loading and strengthening in physical therapy
- Activity and ergonomic modification
- PRP injection therapy for stubborn tendon problems
